Teresa Nygaard, BSW – Current Executive Director of St. Luke Community Healthcare Foundation, Teresa is an ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Master Trainer and Nationally Recognized Nurturing Parenting® Program Trainer/Consultant and Trainer for Darkness 2 Light. She is also past Executive Director of The Parenting Place, Vice President, Board of Directors, Prevent Child Abuse MT and has been working with children and families in some capacity for over 30 years.
After three decades in the child abuse prevention field, Teresa moved into the healthcare arena where she currently focuses on all aspects of physical and mental health and wellness. Blending cutting edge technology and services with one of the most rural areas in Montana, the Flathead Indian Reservation, has been both challenging and rewarding. An emphasis on telehealth services and an improvement in chronic care management has led to positive outcomes for this area. Teresa has worked with very diverse populations and conditions, which has had a lasting impact on how she views prevention work. Whether preventing child abuse or health issues, the focus comes back to relationship.
