I am the Prevention Support Specialist for the Maine Children's Trust, working to support Maine's network of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention (CAN) Councils. The network of CAN councils provide professional trainings and evidenced based parent education throughout Maine.

I have been working with families and children for over twenty years; many of those years focused on the prevention or intervention of child abuse.

I have been utilizing the Nurturing Parenting^® Programs since 2009, becoming a Nationally Recognized Trainer/Consultant in 2016.  I recently became a trainer for the Nurturing HOPE curriculum for families with children with special needs and health challenges.
 
My background includes training in mental health and human services, home visiting, social work, reunification services and residential services for adolescent mothers.
