Mariana Lopez, LCSW-R #275

Mariana Lopez, LCSW-R is a registered Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. She has extensive experience as a psychotherapist, mental health consultant, clinical supervisor, psychological assessments, researcher, and professional trainer. She is a NAMA Certified Facilitator and Nationally Recognized Trainer/Consultant in the Nurturing Parenting® Programs  and a Certified Anger Management Specialist, Level II. She is the founder of Lifeskills Counseling Services, a private mental health practice that provides services to families, individuals, couples, and groups from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. She is also the founder of Life Skills Magazine, an educational magazine that offers knowledge and information to promote personal development and build healthy communities.
 
She is a dedicated and passionate early childhood development specialist with extensive interventional experience. She conducts child observations, reviews screening results, meets with parents and professionals to determine appropriate services for children including mental health, family services, and special education. She develops individualized behavior modification plans to be implemented in the classrooms and at home.
 
Mariana has been conducting Nurturing Parenting® Programs since 2011 in school settings and in her private practice. After recognizing the program’s tremendous potential for empowering families with knowledge and skills, Mariana chose to make it the primary focus at Lifeskills and in the community.
 
She enjoys learning and sees each day as an opportunity to learn something new. Her goal is to empower people, specifically women to achieve their goals, to be self-reliable, and emotionally stable.
