Charisse Tuell is a Nationally Recognized Nurturing Parenting® Program Trainer/Consultant employed by Child and Family Charities, a non-profit based in Lansing, Michigan. She works in Foster Care Supportive Visitation, a division of Child Abuse Prevention Services, as a parent coach, with biological families in the foster care field, who are actively working towards reunification. Through parent education and role modeling, she empowers these families to learn better parenting techniques, life skills, and nurturing routines. She teaches them how to build self-worth, develop positive personal power and implement healthier family practices. Charisse is also a Parent Education Facilitator for Eaton Regional Education Service Agency (RESA), based in Charlotte, Michigan, specializing in Teen Parent Education. In addition to partnering with Eaton RESA, she has branched out into her community, teaching art classes for Lansing Parks and Recreation to help grow and establish their fine arts department.

Charisse believes that the Nurturing Parenting® Program equips families with the tools to grow stronger personal relationships, make better choices, and learn how to recognize their feelings and own the behaviors associated with them. She helps parents learn to grow and develop more empathy and self awareness, and implement healthier and more effective discipline techniques. Her goal is to help parents learn to problem solve, compromise, feel empowered, and lead an overall more loving, peaceful and productive lifestyle. With her guidance, families learn how to move forward and grow from their experiences, as well as establish a stable, loving, safe and healing environment for their families to thrive in.

Charisse has overcome being a single parent, simultaneously struggling to establish herself as a social worker and a mother, and gone on to help countless families overcome their own personal struggle. She is the proud mother of two wonderful children, a son and a daughter and is passionately devoted to educating parents and empowering them to raise healthy, self aware and loving children. Eight years ago, she walked into her current place of employment as a mother needing guidance, and has become an educator, an advocate, a productive member of her community, and a role model.

Charisse holds a Bachelor's Degree in Community Services with a minor in Family Systems Theory from Siena Heights University.
