Karen Garcia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a deep commitment to strengthening families and communities across Los Angeles County. With over 15 years of experience in child and family services, Karen currently serves as the Director of Family Services at Para Los Niños, where she leads a portfolio of programs focused on prevention, healing, and empowerment.
Her work centers on building trust, resilience, and culturally responsive care for families navigating complex challenges. Karen has played a key role in developing trauma-informed services, training staff in inclusive practices, and fostering strategic partnerships with county agencies and community organizations. Her leadership is grounded in the belief that every family has strengths and protective factors that can be nurtured to promote long-term well-being.
Fluent in Spanish and rooted in the values of equity and compassion, Karen brings both clinical expertise and a community-centered lens to her work. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership from Vanguard University.
