Sheryl
Starbuck, MA, NCC, LPC, EAP Level I
Sheryl began her career in the human service field
working with the Prevention/Intervention at the middle
school level. With much encouragement from co-workers,
she went back to school and got her masters in community
counseling and is now a licensed professional counselor.
She has been working for Hilltop/Tandem Families
for five years and is now the Clinical/Program Director.
Tandem Families is a non-profit organization committed
to establishing family mentoring for children and
their families who are facing challenging circumstances.
The program provides advocacy and mental health services
to these families in both Delta and Montrose counties.
Through a contract with the Department of Health and
Human Services of Montrose County, Sheryl supervises
Adoption Home Studies. In a two-county collaborative
effort with seven other community organizations, Sheryl
supervises and facilitates a Nurturing Parenting Program.
Sheryl has also worked for the past two years at
Dream Catcher Therapy Center as an Equine Assisted
Psychotherapist. She has been married to Harvey for
thirty-five years, and they have four grown children.
