Maureen Griner has been teaching the Nurturing Program to
military families at Fort Carson since 1995. She believes that the best way we
can honor the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform is to give them the skills
to build loving and lasting relationships. She also believes that one of the best
ways we can do this is through the Nurturing Parenting Program. Maureen
has also been a Nurturing Program Trainer/Consultant since May 2000. In addition
to her work with the Nurturing Program, she is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor
and teaches various marriage programs to both military and refugee populations.
She is also a technical assistant for the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society's
Strengthening Refugee Marriage Program and runs a small counseling private practice
in Colorado Springs. In addition she presents various workshops and institutes
around the country focusing on facilitator skills and teaching styles. Maureen
received her Bachelors of Science in Development Psychology in 1995 and her Masters
of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 1998. Maureen loves the outdoors and
is an avid runner, skier, hiker, biker and camper. Of all of her accomplishments
