Dr.
Mary Joanne Kraus earned her Ph.D. at the University of
Georgia. Dr. Kraus is currently residing in San Antonio,
Texas, where she is the Team Leader of Adolescent Services
at The Children's Shelter. Dr. Kraus has been directly or
indirectly involved with the empowerment of distressed families
for the past ten years. She is currently overseeing the
facilitation of the Nurturing Parenting Programs and has
joined Family Development Resources, Inc., as an active
National Trainer/Consultant.
In addition to the Nurturing Parenting Programs, Dr. Kraus
joins the teaching staff at The University of Texas at San
Antonio with the College of Public Policy as an adjunct
professor. Dr. Kraus holds certifications as a trainer in
several other areas including: Adoption Specialist for the
National Council For Adoption Awareness: Consider the Possibilities
and Positive Beginnings: Supporting Young Children with
Challenging Behavior.
