Center
Lisa Sheely is a Recognized Trainer/Consultant for
the Nurturing Parenting Programs offered through Dunebrook,
Prevent Child Abuse, LaPorte, County. Lisa has regularly
facilitated classes for Dunebrook since 2000. She
has taken part in the Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers;
ABC's of Parenting/ School-Age Children, and Parent
& Adolescent Nurturing curriculum. Lisa is also
the Program Assistant for the Nurturing Parenting
Programs at Dunebrook.
Lisa has felt the importance of empathy and respect
through years of working with challenging children
of all ages. Since 1990, these have included positions
at group homes, a day treatment facility, a psychiatric
hospital and a juvenile detention center where she
has helped foster positive growth through the techniques
presented throughout the Nurturing Programs.
Lisa practices the skills of Nurturing philosophy
with her husband and twin daughters as well as those
in all other relationships in her life. She is always
open and excited to discuss nurturing and is available
to talk with anyone seeking direction in the program.
