Linda Kilgore
The Family Nurturing Center is an agency dedicated to ending
the cycle of child abuse by promoting healthy families.
They offer counseling for victims of sexual abuse, Nurturing
Parenting Classes, supervised visitation, Kids on the Block
Puppet Shows for community awareness, and trainings. They
will celebrate their 25th Anniversary during 2004.
Linda Kilgore has been teaching and coordinating Nurturing
Parenting Programs since 1988. As the Nurturing Parenting
Program Director for the Family Nurturing Center in Kentucky
she has planned nurturing skills and facilitator trainings
and workshops, recruited program staff, managed grant budgets,
and followed the Nurturing curricula as designed. Linda
has worked with the Prenatal; Infant, Toddler and Preschoolers;
School-Age; Parent and Adolescent; Teenage Parents: and
ABC's nurturing programs. Linda and her husband Bruce have
two grown daughters and became grandparents in 2003.
