Nurturing Network of North Dakota

Kathy has been the Executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse North Dakota (PCAND) since 1995. PCAND became the "home agency" for the Nurturing Parenting programs in 1997. NP has been offered in North Dakota since the mid-80's. Kathy became concerned about the welfare of children in North Dakota after serving as a House Human Services committee clerk during the 1995 legislative session. Previously a business owner and a nurse, the child abuse prevention work the chapter was involved with fit well with the "values that are near and dear to my heart". Kathy has an AA in Nursing, a BS in Business and a Masters in Business Management with an emphasis in organizational leadership. She is a mother of 4, grandmother of 2 and has had an empty nest for two years. Kathy and her husband Dan enjoy traveling with friends and family, their home in Big Sky, Montana and of course "hanging out" with the kids and grandkids.
