Karol
Neimeister has been an effective trainer and facilitator
for the Nurturing Parenting Program for over eighteen years.
She has presented various facets of the Nurturing Parenting
Program in many different environments including training
seminars at the state-agency level, training seminars at
the college level, seminars and workshops for local community
colleges and churches. Portions of the Nurturing Parenting
Programs have been presented by Karol in conference workshops
as far away as Russia, Thailand and Bangladesh. To stay
current with the needs of the clients, Karol works throughout
the year as a volunteer facilitator in scheduled classes
for unskilled voluntary and court-ordered parents.
As a National Trainer/Consultant, Karol brings the fun back
into learning while producing measurable results. Her trainings
are filled with activities that cement the skills into the
minds and hearts of the audience. At the same time Karol
functions as a role-model implementing the skills that are
to be replicated when the trainee returns to his/her own
environment. Her stories, examples, and personal transparency
make her regularly sought after as a speaker, one-on-one
teacher, and group trainer. Her opinions and ideas are respected
and sought after in the Nurturing Parenting environment.
From a letter to Dr. Bavolek: "Karol was able to
provide instruction to many different learning styles. She
provided small group activities for those that learn hands
on. Several visuals were strategically placed around the
room for the visual learner. A very small percentage of
the class time was taught traditionally through lecture,
while 100% of the time oral learners were offered foods
and candy to keep their learning on track....Her program
evaluations were all in the excellent range."
Doris F. Lovell, Parent Child Center of Tulsa: "Karol
makes learning fun by her marvelous sense of humor and presentation
style. She is always very well prepared and is able to use
her quick wit to get a point across. She has the ability
to encourage people to open up and feel comfortable. She
easily engages her audience in interaction and keeps the
pace moving in presenting the material. When teaching in
a group setting, she is able to draw participants out to
become active, receptive and participating group members."
Judy Madewell, Family Development, University of New Mexico:
" I found you to be extremely well-prepared and
flexible with the material. Your ability to stay on task
in a full agenda is to be commended. The materials you brought
along were a great complement to the existing curriculum,
and the ready advice on how to accommodate and respond to
needs of the audience were invaluable. Your experience,
both as a speaker and as a practitioner of the Nurturing
Parenting Programs was evident in every aspect of the training."
Roy Ross, Ottawa Tribe of Oklahoma: "...upon the
completion of the three day training, I must say I was not
only impressed with her knowledge of the Nurturing Parenting
Curriculum, but her excellent delivery skills as well. Karol
was very cordial, patient, and always found time to answer
any question someone in the group might have. I have attended
plenty of trainings offered by others in the same field,
and the training offered by Karol was way above average."
