Joanne
Pratt is a case worker for the Community Support Program
at Montrose County Health and Human Services. Joanne
is responsible for helping families to develop parenting
skills by providing support and classes, and information
on child development. Joanne has developed and facilitates
a Toy Lending Library for children up to the age of
four, facilitates a parent/toddler play group, and
facilitates a Life Skills class for parents who have
cognitive delays.
Joanne received her Bachelor of Science Degree in
Social Work and Family Relations from Weber State
University and has worked for the Juvenile Court as
a probation officer, Volunteer Coordinator for a school
district, Boy Scouts of America in-school program,
and for Great Start, a family advocacy program. For
the last four years, she has been teaching the Nurturing
Parenting Program in Delta and Montrose Counties.
Joanne and her late husband, Neil, are the proud
parents of 13 grown children and have 42 grandchildren.
