Joanne
Pratt is a family visitor and advocate for the Great
Start Program in the counties of Montrose, and Delta,
Colorado. She is responsible for helping families
to develop parenting skills by providing support,
parenting classes, and child development education
to families with children whose ages are birth to
four years old. She developed and manages a Toy Lending
Library in both counties for parents, grandparents,
and professionals to use for children with or without
disabilities.
Joanne received her Bachelor of Science Degree in
Social Work and Family Relations from Weber State
University and has worked for the Juvenile Court as
a case manager, Volunteer Coordinator for Ogden School
District, and for Boy Scouts of America's in-school
program in Palm Springs, California. Joanne has been
teaching parenting classes for the last ten years.
For the last two years, she has been teaching the
Nurturing Parenting Program in Delta and Montrose
Counties. She is also a National Trainer/Consultant
for the Nurturing Parenting Programs.
Joanne and her husband, Neil, are the proud parents
of 13 grown children and grandparents of 37 grandchildren.
