children, ages 25 to 37 and has three beautiful grandchildren, age 4 to 17. Janet
Jones, MA, LPC Janet
has facilitated the Nurturing Parenting Programs for the last ten years in Colorado
Springs. A former high school teacher, she wished to use her teaching skills to
help parents learn to nurture their children and stop the cycle of violence that
so many of them experienced in their own childhood. She also found these positive
and proactive skills were most helpful in raising her own three daughters, now
17, 21 and 24. Janet is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with
children and families, specializing in Play Therapy as well as families of divorce.
She facilitates a monthly, court-approved class for divorcing families called,
"For the Kids Co-Parenting Workshop." In addition, she serves as a volunteer
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) to represent children in the court system.
