Healthy Families Partnership
Carolyn
Fair is a 1971 graduate of Hampton Institute with a BA in
Psychology. She has completed graduate work in Family Systems
Therapy and Group Therapy. From 1978 to 1993, Ms. Fair has
worked in the field of social work for two local Department
of Social Services. She is currently on staff with Hampton's
Healthy Families Partnership as Coordinator of Training
and New Parent Outreach.
Carolyn became a Contract Trainer of the Nurturing Parenting
Programs in 1995 and was recognized as a Trainer/Consultant
in 1999. She is a certified facilitator for the Vannoy Group,
authors of the Ten Greatest Gift Programs; a STEP program
faclitator and a certified instructor for the KidWISE Institute,
authors of "Raising Careful Confident Children in a
Crazy World" program.
Carolyn has conducted numerous workshops on the state and
national level for professionals, parents, childcare personnel
and foster parents. She brings with her a wealth of experience
and delivers her training in a dynamic and highly interactive
manner. As the Coordinator of Training for the Healthy Families
Partnership, Carolyn has had the opportunity to travel across
the country to train various agencies in the implementation
of the Nurturing Parenting Programs and developing a successful
parent education program for their community. She is a highly
skilled and sought after trainer.
Carolyn is the co-author of the parenting book "You
Are Not Alone"and has solo authored a Christian parenting
study guide entitled "Nurturing: a Godly Model."
She is a mother and a grandmother of one.
