Carol
Dolber McMurray, MSW, ACSW, has worked with and on
behalf of children, parents, and families for over
twenty-five years, particularly in the areas of foster
care, adoption, and prevention of child maltreatment.
She created Child & Family Development and Consultation
Services where she also serves as a Trainer/ Adoption
& Life Book Consultant. Carol is a Nationally
Recognized Nurturing Parenting Program® Trainer/
Consultant, coordinates the Virginia Nurturing Network
and conducts NPP Facilitator Trainings and workshops
throughout Virginia. She is also a trainer with the
VA Dept. of Social Services and V.C.U.'s School of
Social Work VISSTA project.
Carol has been trained in "Children's Creative
Response to Conflict" and "Mediation Techniques"
and provides workshops and seminars on conflict resolution
skill-building, communication and problem-solving
strategies, group and family dynamics, connecting
the Nurturing Philosophy with these programs. She
has always enjoyed being involved in the Nurturing
Parenting Programs ®, whether training potential
facilitators, consulting and/or providing Nurturing
Skills to adolescents and parents. She and her husband
have enjoyed parenting two sons to adulthood.
