| Alpha is a master's level therapist
who has provided play therapy and facilitated Nurturing Parenting Programs for
over five years in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is currently the Children's
Program manager at TESSA, a non-profit center that focuses on the prevention of
domestic violence and sexual assault of women and children. Alpha provides play
therapy, Dove groups for children, and community education regarding the impact
of domestic violence on children. Alpha is dedicated to the prevention
and treatment of child abuse and neglect through direct services and community
awareness. She believes that children heal most effectively when they have a safe
and nurturing environment to develop in and is dedicated to creating that space
through her work. Alpha believes deeply in the foundational values of the Nurturing
Parenting Program and has found that nurturing parenting skills have been effective
in raising her own delightful 9-year old daughter.
