Alisa
Sisemore, a National Trainer/Consultant for the Nurturing
Parenting Programs, has worked professionally with
parents, children and families for over 27 years.
She has a Bachelor's degree in Home and Family Relations/Child
Development and Masters work in Family Counseling.
Alisa has facilitated parenting workshops and Facilitator
Trainings for Buckner Children and Family Services,
Managed Care Center for Drug and Addictive Disorders,
Head Start, Texas Migrant Council, Community Church
outreach programs across Texas and Lubbock Independent
School District. She has directed and owned child
development centers for sixteen years. Alisa also
led conference sessions for Building Strong Families
conferences in Lubbock, Texas and the South Plains
area.
Alisa has facilitated, coordinated and supervised
Nurturing Parenting Programs for Buckner Children
and Family Services since 1999. Currently she is Training
and Facilitating Nurturing Parenting Programs, the
Nurturing God's Way Parenting Program, and Family
Foundations as a community wide outreach to families
across Texas and other locations.
Alisa served as a local and state officer for Texas
Association of Education for Young Children. She is
currently on the Lubbock Independent School District
Advisory Council for Safe and Drug Free Schools and
she serves on Youth Leadership staff at her church.
Alisa and her husband Chris have been married for
25 years. They have one teenage son who is in his
first year of college. He is currently an intern in
the youth and family ministries area of his church
and planning to travel to Africa to work with children
this summer.
