The Prenatal Program® is a nine-session group-based program. Each session runs 2 1/2 hours. Partners as well as family members are invited to attend. The 2008 revised Prenatal Program for Families addresses current issues faced by couples expecting a child including the use of prescription drugs, alcohol and tobacco during pregnancy; the relationship between healthy pregnancies and proper nutrition; the effects of stress on the baby; ways to keep a healthy sexual relationship between partners; and issues of body image, weight gain, dieting and brain development during pregnancy.
The 2008 version of the Prenatal Program for Families is an exciting, up-to-date, proven program that helps parents and their baby start out life with the optimal conditions for a healthy, nurturing prenatal experience.
Program Description
- The Nurturing Program for Prenatal Families is a nine-session group-based program.
- Each session lasts 2 ½ hours with 30 minutes of food and relaxation.
- Parents receive an illustrated Handbook.
- The Activities Manual for Parents allows the facilitators to implement the program.
- DVDs, role play and discussions facilitate learning.
