In the Nurturing Skills for Teen Parents™ Program, professionals have the flexibility of tailoring a specific Nurturing Program to meet the assessed parenting needs of families while maintaining the fidelity of the philosophy and model of Nurturing Parenting.
The Nurturing Skills for Teen Parents parenting program consists of 59 lessons presented in a Lesson Guide that allows professionals to help young moms and dads to learn the basic skills of Nurturing Parenting. The program adheres to the fidelity of the evidenced-based Nurturing Parenting Program for Teen Parents and their Children, but offers professionals the flexibility in meeting the unique needs of every teen parent family.
The 59 individual Lessons are presented in 16 different Skill Areas known to represent the range of appropriate parenting and child rearing practices.
Each Lesson presents easy to follow, step-by-step instructions to teach Nurturing Parenting skills to teen parents appropriate for the age level of their children. Pretest assessment allows educators to offer classes to meet the specific parenting needs of teen parents.

Adult-Adolescent Parenting Inventory (AAPI-2)
Two 40-item inventories (Form A and Form B) designed to assess the parenting and child rearing attitudes of adult and teen parents.
Nurturing Quiz
An informal inventory designed to assess the knowledge parents have of appropriate parenting practices. Two forms are available: one for parenting young children (birth – five years) and on for older school-age children (5 to 12 years).
Family Social History Questionnaire
Provides information regarding the parent’s personal background, childhood experiences and family demographics.
DVD Series
