This
is a 12-session group-based program. Families learn nurturing
communication strategies, how to recognize each other's
needs, how to understand the period of adolescence, and
ways to build their own personal power, self-esteem, and
self-concept.
Families also discuss pregnancy delay,
sex, sexuality, AIDS, suicide, and peer pressure. Parents
and teens from throughout the country participated in the
validation process.
