adults and children to use gentle touch through massage techniques has clinically
shown to increase parent-child bonding and to prevent the use of hurting touch
such as shaking, hitting and spanking children. The Nurturing Programs
that use infant massage are: These programs teach moms and dads
to use massage as an integral part of their nurturing parenting. Facilitators
use the training video, Nurturing Touch: The Art of Infant Massage and parent
receive an instructional handbook to ensure that new skills can be practiced at
home. Tuition: Tuition is $625 for early
registration (registration form and payment must be received 3 weeks prior
to training) and $650 for registrations received after the deadline. Registration
includes the four-day training and 2 books: Infant Massage: A Handbook for Loving
Parents and the Instructor's Handbook. Payment by check or credit card is accepted. Confirmation:
Confirmation of attendance will be sent upon receipt of the registration form
and payment. Further details about the training, lodging and travel directions
will be included. Cancellation Policy: If you must
cancel your participation, please notify the trainer at least one week prior to
the training. Your deposit will be refunded less a $25 processing fee. A $50 fee
is charged when there is less than one week prior notification. |
