The
AAPI-2 is an inventory designed to assess the parenting
and child rearing attitudes of adult and adolescent parent
and pre-parent populations. Based on the known parenting
and child rearing behaviors of abusive parents, responses
to the inventory provide an index of risk for practicing
behaviors known to be attributable to child abuse and neglect.
The AAPI-2 is the revised and re-normed version of the original
AAPI first developed in 1979. Normed for English and Spanish-Speaking
Families.

The Nurturing Quiz is an informal multiple-choice inventory
given pre and post intervention designed to measure knowledge
parents and teens have of appropriate parenting practices.
The Nurturing Quiz is easy to score and provides useful
information regarding gains in knowledge the participants
made. Each complete Nurturing Parenting Program comes with
a package of 40 Nurturing Quiz specific to the developmental
level of the parenting instruction (Prenatal, Infants, Toddlers
and Preschoolers, School-Age, and Adolescents).

The Family Social History Questionnaire is a self-report
inventory given pre and posttest to gather information regarding
the family demographics (age, gender, income, education
level, etc.) and perceptions of childhood history. Participants
rate the quality of their life with their partners and children.
Each complete Nurturing Parenting Program comes with a package
of 40 Family Social History Questionnaires.

At the end of each home visit or group session, parents
complete a Program Evaluation Form and rate the quality
of the specific session, as well as the quality of their
program in general. Parents list things they liked and disliked
about the sessions and are offered opportunities to make
recommendations to improve the instruction. An excellent
way to assess the progress of the group and the clarity
of your instruction. Each complete Nurturing Parenting Program
comes with a package of 120 Program Evaluation Forms.

The Nurturing Skills Competency Scale is an inventory designed to assess the knowledge and use of nurturing parenting concepts, practices and strategies. The NSCS is designed to be specific to the three major developmental stages (Pre-School, School-Age and Adolescent). When used in conjunction with the AAPI-2, the NSCS provides an index of Low, Moderate or High Risk for child maltreatment. (Currently available for adolescent population only). NSCS Code $25.00
